Get to know Lisa

About the Coach & Yoga Teacher

Lisa entered on day one with a hungry spirit and an open mind, very eager to learn the teachings and put them immediately into practice. We have been so proud to witness her growth and integration of the profound spiritual work that took place. Lisa cares so deeply for the tradition, the teachings and helping to guide others that she pours her whole heart into every moment. She is a natural empath and comes armed with past experience in mindfulness, spiritual practices, body work and movement.

Lisa helps you uncover your ‘true authentic self’ through a journey of personal inquiry via holistic yoga and mindful practices encouraging self awareness, self love and acceptance of the past to walk mindfully in the present.

My Mission Statement

Meditation & Yoga have great powers to heal, and I have found this out through personal experience during my yoga teacher training, from Yin Yoga (Taoism), Chakra Yoga, Body Work and Pranayama breath work. I hope to combine these yoga practices with my own self growth learnings and Master Mindful studies in Health & Social Wellbeing based on Buddhist and Zen style meditation practices and embody the essence of yoga daily.

About BeingAware

My mindful journey & love of Yin

I first found my journey in modern mindfulness and ancient meditation practice when googling how to become more resilient. My son had a surfing accident and I knew I couldn't stop him from doing one of his passions due to my past trauma. I then saw the happiest face I'd ever witnessed actually glowing through the world wide web directly at me. Hence my guru and first taste of mindfulness.

 

Since then I studied a Masters of Arts in Health and Social Wellbeing, Watsu therapy and Bowen Training. Now I am a qualified yoga teacher embarking on Yin Yoga and a thesis around its benefits to health. 

I am now starting this blog BeingAware as a place for me to write a public journal on new findings in my aware state, hoping to share my findings with others. If this helps one person I have achieved something great. I use this space to hold myself accountable, because maximising mind body wellness can only come from intentional daily practice and awareness. And I hope you too will follow.
